You may have heard the news. Howard Stern has brought it up. Stephen Colbert devoted six minutes to it the other night on his show. Nation, we have a problem, on top of the foreclosures, the credit crunch, all of the job losses… there is a chicken wing shortage.

Geoff Williams of WalletPop.com explores the causes and offers some helpful alternatives…such as Buffalo Nickel Wingers™! http://tinyurl.com/d3wdgn

If you saw it – get it. If you missed it – find out why we were selected as THE Snack of the Day for her Super Bowl Special. It’s a gathering must-have that is sure to please.

Buffalo Nickel Wingers™, an all-natural potato snack shaped like the famous bar food, has been chosen as the “Snack of the Day” on the Rachael Ray television talk show which is carried on King World Television affiliates throughout the United States.

A 5 oz. bag of Fiery Buffalo Bleu variety will be handed out to each member of the studio audience of Ms. Ray’s Emmy Award-winning show that focuses on both preparing easy meals and interviewing today’s most interesting people. Ms. Ray will talk briefly about her choice for “Snack of the Day” as well as provide Buffalo Nickel Wingers™ with logo credit at the end of her show and a direct link to the snack’s website.

The show will air on Thursday, January 29, 2009. Check local listings for channel and time in your television market or visit the rachaelrayshow.com at www.rachaelrayshow.com/show-info/showtimes/.

“We’re thrilled to have been selected as a part of this fantastic segment,” says Buffalo Nickel Foods President, Vincent James. “We’re looking forward to the national introduction of what has become the best kept secret in all-natural snacking.”

Buffalo Nickel Wingers™ are shaped like 3D mini drumsticks. Each package features the unique Buffalo Nickel Wingers™ “Heat Index,” which displays the level of spiciness of each flavor variety from #1 – #5. Appropriately, Fiery Buffalo Bleu is #5. The authentic Buffalo wing flavor, plus the fact that they’re all-natural and 60% lower in fat than potato chips, is making them a fast mover at natural food grocers in markets across the U.S. Wingers are available on Amazon.com and at many local grocers. Buffalo Nickel Wingers
I just found out about these when a ton of them unexpectedly showed up at the Hungry Girl headquarters, and they’re so good! There are five fantastic flavors (in order of least spicy to hottest): No Bull Barbeque, Honey Mustard Horsepower, Nacho Chilichanga, Caribbean Zin, and Fiery Buffalo Bleu. They’re also shaped like cute little chicken wings. Woohoo

Each serving of 25 Wingers has a POINTS value of 3.
